"To me...music exists to elevate us as far as possible above everyday life." -Gabriel Faure
Hey everyone!
I am Hever (eh-vur) I will be turning 19 on May 24th woohoo! I am from Dallas, TX but now go to school at SHSU in Huntsville, TX...where there is literally nothing to do here. I am a Music Ed. major with a vocal emphasis hoping to one day become a choral director. People tend to tell me that I am weird or different, which I consider a compliment...I mean who wants to be just like everyone else? I certainly don't! I love all kinds of music, singing, attempting to play the piano (harhar), swimming, reading...the list could go on and on, anyway, I am going to stop here. =D
indeed! It’s been a while since I have posted anything, too.
Angels & Demons is one of my favorite movies :)

Ok, so I haven’t posted anything in a while, so I need to get you guys all caught up. I went back home to Dallas this weekend and took a lot of things with me, that way I don’t have a million things to take back at the end of the semester. I got to spend some nice, quality time with my mommy and sister.
Monday came, and nothing too exciting happened…it was just another one of those days when I wake up about a half an hour before class starts, and one of my suite mate’s has gotten a hold of the bathroom before me, and stay in there for hours!…so then I can’t get ready, and am unable to go to class…but then a friend told me that our class was cancelled so I was like “THANK YOU JESUS!”…because I had to talk about a poem that day, so I was afraid the professor would hate me because I didn’t go to class…but I mean, who would want to go to class with a pillowhead, morning breath, and all other sorts of disgustingness…I certainly wouldn’t!
Yesterday, well…yesterday was amazing except for one tiny detail…A BIRD POOPED ON MY HEAD! I was just sitting outside, enjoying nature with a group of friends, when I felt something land on my head; I honestly thought it was just a bug, but then some guy goes, “dude, you’ve got bird sh!@ on your head”….and I was in shock at that point; my jaw dropped in shock immediately after that point. After a good minute of just sitting there in shock, I decided to go to my dorm and take a shower…luckily, I was right outside my dorm building, so I didn’t have to humiliate myself even more by walking across campus with bird poop on my head or something…I’ve heard that having a bird poop on you is good luck, I don’t see what is lucky about that though; I mean, I guess I am “lucky” enough to have a bird think of my head as being worthy of his poop…who knows…maybe today will be fantastic!

You guys might be wondering what the title of this post says; it says “I love music from all over the world.” I have always liked music in general, but not many people, except for some really close friends of mine know that I love Arabic music. I don’t know exactly at what point in time I started liking Arabic music, but I love it! I just remember listening to a song one day, and getting hooked. I think one reason why I love listening to this kind of music is because I get to hear a different country’s musical culture; I like hearing all the different kinds of instruments they use in their music, like the Riq, Oud, Qanun, Buzuq, Nay, and Violin. People may think I am weird because I love listening to all sorts of music, but it doesn’t bother me, because that is what makes me a unique individual. I mean, who wants to be normal anyway?! I certainly don’t! As I am writing this post, I am listening to some Arabic Music; and I completely feel as if I have escaped into a completely different world…which is amazing! I am so fascinated with the Arab world that I even decided that I want to learn to speak Arabic myself. I know it will take years for me to be able to speak it fluently because it is said to be one of the hardest languages to learn in the world; but I am up for the challenge, pahaha! Sadly, the only phrases I know how to say right now are: “Hello” “Father” “The girl is drinking” “The boy is drinking” “The girl is running” and “The boy is running”…BUT that is a start haha…anyway, I will leave you guys listening to an Arabic song, hope you guys enjoy it as much as I do! :)
haha thanks! I love your blog as well!! =) I just finished reading the ranting session you wrote down :P
